RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Float on a rotational basis to other units
• Patient ratios vary: Days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:7
• Work with 24-bed telemetry unit caring for medical, medical telemetry, and observation patients
• Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps
• Electronic medical record system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (may obtain prior to start)
• 1 year telemetry experience required (inpatient only)
• Experience and competence in drug titration required
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• Dress code: Black scrubs only
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available entire first week
• Provides direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintains professional accountability and patient confidentiality
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance
