ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours - must be indicated on submission form
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• RTO will not be approved in the first week of assignment and must be made up on the back end
• Only 1 holiday RTO request per assignment
• 68-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratio routinely; surge and other circumstances will alter ratios
• EMR system: EPIC
• Treat patients of all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Work in a busy urban Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, STEMI center and regional burn center seeing 200+ patients per day
• Trauma, pediatrics, and high acuity experience preferred
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility required - must be indicated on resume
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC; NIHSS may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for licensure in Missouri or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Scrub color: Black; jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable
