MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• 4 x 10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required between campuses - all remote scanning is conducted from the home site using the Siemens virtual cockpit steering client
• Primary responsibility is remote scanning for Greer, Tuomey, and Parkridge campuses when overnight scans are needed at those sites
• Will assist with scanning patients at the home site when no remote scans are needed
• Perform inpatient and outpatient MRI scanning for adult and pediatric patients of all ages including neonates, infants, adolescents, and geriatrics
• Scan for stroke and trauma patients
• Must be trained to use the steering client for the Siemens virtual cockpit to scan for remote sites
• Experience with GE and Siemens equipment required, including 1.5T and 3T
• Strong pediatric scanning experience required - role is almost exclusively pediatric scanning
• Previous Children's Hospital experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must be ARRT certified (ARMRIT certification will not be accepted)
• Required certifications: ARRT MR, BLS
• Required equipment experience: GE or Siemens
• Required skills include: Abdomen, Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, Brain, Cervical, Chest, CINE (Cerebrospinal fluid flow study), Diffusion (non-brain), ER/Trauma, Face/soft tissue neck, Female Pelvis, GE, Gradient Echo Imaging, Hip/bony pelvis, Image post-processing, Knee, Lumbar, Male Pelvis, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP), PACS, Pediatric Acute Care, Perfusion, Peripheral Magnetic Resonance Angiography, Preparation and/or administration of contrast media, Shoulder, Siemens, Spectroscopy, Spin Echo Images, Starting Peripheral IVs, Surface Coils, T-1 Weighted Images, T-2 Weighted Images, Thoracic, NICU/PICU
• Patient ratio is 1:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Facility operates 3 MRI rooms with a daily census of 40
