OR RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking an RN for a full-time Operating Room position. You will work day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a minimum of one weekday call shift per week plus weekend rotation coverage.

Position Details:

• 5x8-hour shifts per week
• 1:1 patient ratio in the OR
• Facility performs approximately 250 procedures monthly across 6 operating rooms
• 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,820

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• 2+ years of Operating Room experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and DaVinci robotics surgery
• Adult and pediatric patient care experience

Your Responsibilities:

You will demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in planning and anticipating patient care needs. You will scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases, manage supplies and case timeliness, maintain physician preference cards, communicate with families, and supervise personnel delivering care. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technicians, and other team members to provide patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and applicable regulations.
