About this role

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026. You will work 4x10-hour day shifts from 0700–1730, though shifts may extend as procedures continue. On-call requirements include one weekend per month (Friday through Sunday) and one call shift plus one evening shift each week. Holiday coverage is expected as needed.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Work across 4–5 labs per day with 2 CVT per lab, managing approximately 20 cases daily
  • Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor duties
  • Support diagnostic and interventional coronary catheterizations, vascular procedures, angioplasty, and various cardiac interventions
  • Operate specialized equipment including Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, shock wave devices, and MAC Lab documentation systems
  • Document procedures in EPIC charting and Vidistar image storage

Requirements

  • Allied Health Professional credential
  • 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process)
  • Valid South Carolina license (SCRQSA)
  • Proficiency in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor roles
  • First-time travelers accepted
