Registered Nurse - PICU @ University of Virginia Medical Center

Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Pediatric Float Pool position floating to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby
• Night shift schedule working 36 or 48 hours per week
• 13-week assignment with every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Must have 2 years of PICU experience and NICU experience required
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Must be comfortable with pediatric patients of all ages from neonates to adolescents
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, and Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• BSN preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Patient ratios: PICU 1:2, NICU 1:2 or 1:3, Acute Pediatrics 1:4-5, Peds ED variable
• 60 hours of orientation provided
• Up to 40 hours of approved time off per contract
• Must adhere to facility float policy and work within scope of practice
