Registered Nurse - ICU @ Sutter Health Coast Hospital

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BSN degree required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be AHA certified)
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Every other weekend requirement
• On call/call off based on census
• Patient ratios: 2:1 during days and nights
• Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg (Med/Surg ratios 1:4-5, used as last resort)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• Daily census: 4-6 patients in 6-bed unit with 9 total rooms
• Skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, and hemodialysis
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Only one holiday will be approved for time off
• 50-mile travel requirement (locals accepted at reduced rate)
