Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Roanoke, VA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. This is a 91-week travel assignment with a weekly pay of $2,940.

Schedule and Duration

• Work 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Up to 26 weeks available by request
• 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts required within each 6-week period
• One full weekend of call (Friday through Sunday) scheduled together during each 6-week cycle
• One Saturday shift for elective cases required during each 6-week period
• Must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called
• One holiday per 13-week contract worked in rotation with staff
• Assignment begins June 29, 2026

Requirements and Experience

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures using fluoroscopy
• Skilled in LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacing, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip procedures
• Demonstrated competency in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management
• Ability to respond rapidly to protocol changes and patient needs

Equipment Experience

• IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser systems, OCT, and IVUS

Role Specifics

• 1:1 patient ratio
• Direct involvement in advanced cardiac interventional procedures
• Collaboration with cardiologists and clinical teams in a high-acuity setting
