Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call requirement every 3rd weekend from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Holiday call expected if federal holiday occurs during contract
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week with facility allowed 6 call-offs during 13-week assignment
• Must be able to function unsupervised after two weeks of onsite training
• Work with another Nuclear Medicine tech or occasionally work independently
• May need to work between two departments
• Daily caseload of 8-10 patients
• Work with 2 cameras - one in cardiology for stress tests, one in radiology for general NM studies
• Required certifications: MRTBE (Arizona license), NMTCB and/or ARRT, BLS (American Heart Association)
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card required
• 1 year of experience required
• Must be skilled in cardiac, bone scan, brain scan, lung scan, renal flow, thyroid studies, SPECT, and myocardial procedures
• Skills required: drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, PACS system
• Work with patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Any solid color scrubs required
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
