Job Details:

• Provide general Speech-Language Pathology evaluations and treatments in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, Home Health, and Long-Term Care
• Work with patients of all ages with varying diagnoses and skill needs
• Perform patient assessments, evaluations, establish treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions
• Document patient encounters, findings, treatments, diagnoses, and recommendations according to hospital policies
• Attend care conferences, meetings, and rounds with healthcare team members
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care plans and medical equipment arrangements
• Develop and conduct patient education and therapy programs based on individual needs
• Provide home exercise programs and instruction to patients and families
• Perform services in community settings including clinics, senior centers, and home assessments
• Occasional multi-day travel to remote locations by boat or small plane in potentially harsh weather
• Supervise support staff, students, or interns as needed
• Utilize video conferencing for training, patient encounters, and administrative duties
• Maintain supply stocks and clinical areas at acceptable levels
• Required: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from accredited program
• Required: CCC-SLP certification and Alaska state license
• Required: Basic Life Support certification
• Required: Pediatrics and outpatient experience
• Required: Flu vaccine
• Physical demands include potential lifting up to 50 pounds and repetitive movements
• Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after fingerprint processing
