Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a pediatric operating room setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs for complex situations
• Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and families
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, and those at high risk for discharge planning
• Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care and support interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Assess readiness to learn and developmental level of patients and families to provide appropriate education
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Participate in performance improvement activities and unit goal development
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure environment for all patients
