Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex<br>• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients<br>• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments<br>• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures<br>• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary<br>• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products<br>• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures<br>• Make referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs<br>• Delegate tasks to support staff<br>• CVICU and NICU experience preferred<br>• Must have level 1 experience<br>• 1 year of nursing experience required<br>• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required<br>• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred<br>• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required<br>• Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required<br>• PALS (American Heart Association) required<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills<br>• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors<br>• Basic computer skills required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This pediatric healthcare facility specializes in providing comprehensive medical care to children with complex health conditions.
