About this role
You'll work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology departments at BJC West – Saint Lukes South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, on a 5×8 day shift schedule.
Pay & Schedule
- Weekly pay: $2,760
- Shift: Days, 5 days per week, 8 hours per shift
- Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week period; cancelled shifts will match your regular assigned shift length
- On-call required approximately 1–2 nights per week on weeknights, and rotating call every 5th weekend between two locations
- Weekends required for call only
Role & Responsibilities
You will support Interventional Radiology procedures with a patient ratio of 2 on days. You may float between departments, units, and facilities as needed, and will assist in X-ray when Interventional Radiology is not busy. You must be proficient with GE Innova IGS equipment and PACS systems, and have experience with Epic EMR charting.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Proficiency in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, Aortography, Chest Tube Placement, Embolization, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, IVC filter placement and removal, Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiogram, Paracentesis, Pelvic Angiography, Percutaneous Hepatic Angiography, Pulmonary Arteriography, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) of the liver, Renal Angiography, Selective Visceral Angiography, Stent Placement, Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, PICC Lines Care and Maintenance, Sterile Technique, Room Circulator, and Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Experience with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Required Credentials
- BLS certification
- ARRT R (Radiography)
- ARRT VI (Vascular Interventional) – preferred
- Kansas License (LRT)

Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted. Scrubs are provided by the facility.
