RN (Registered Nurse)

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ER</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts with possible schedules: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM<br>• Weekend nights only schedule<br>• Every other weekend requirement typically<br>• One winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year&#39;s) and one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) required<br>• No call or standby requirements<br>• No floating requirements<br>• Nurse to patient ratios variable, maximum 3-4:1 for short periods during peak times<br>• Must reside within 50-mile radius<br>• Preferably 3+ years of emergency department experience required<br>• Prior travel experience preferred but not required<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC<br>• BSN not required<br>• Gray scrubs provided by facility<br>• 3-shift orientation with another nurse<br>• EPIC charting system<br>• Treat approximately 40 patients per day including abdominal pain, falls, chest pain, and pediatric cases (20% of volume)<br>• Manage common drips including antibiotics, cardiac medications, Heparin, TPA, and insulin<br>• Responsible for reading own cardiac monitor strips using Phillips monitors<br>• Draw labs when starting IVs, phlebotomy also available<br>• Transport patients for procedures as needed</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a state-certified Level III trauma center and Primary Stroke Center with comprehensive emergency services. The emergency department features 11 total beds including 2 triage beds, 2 trauma bays, and 7 additional beds, along with one dedicated psych/seclusion room with video monitoring. The facility maintains 24/7 staffing including board-certified emergency physicians, mid-level providers, respiratory therapy, security, and house supervision.
