NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work in a Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery providing specialized care for late preterm babies (35 weeks and beyond) and newborns with health issues
• 4-bed unit with a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Every other weekend required with holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Facility-provided scrubs
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• Minimum 2 years of current NICU experience required at Level 1B or higher
• Must have experience with ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies - infants exposed to opioids in utero
• Must have experience with TTN (Transient Tachypnea) babies - infants with mild breathing problems
• Must have experience with blood sugar stabilization
• Must have experience with babies requiring respiratory support
• Must have experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula (NC)
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• Traveler must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Block scheduling requests will not be considered
• All scheduling requests including requested time off must be submitted at time of profile upload - requests after offer may result in rescinded offer
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Massachusetts RN license required
• NICU skills checklist current within 1 year required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
