Job Details:

• Work Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend requirement includes Saturdays
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have experience in microbiology and work solely in microbiology
• Floating requirement with potential schedule adjustments based on skill set
• Analyze specimens according to section procedures and policies
• Apply test procedures accurately and confirm unusual results
• Review and report all results according to laboratory policy
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required
• Required certifications: CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP) or equivalent medical technologist certification
• Must meet CLIA 88 requirements for performing high complexity testing
• MLS-M certification required
• Prefer one year of general laboratory experience
• Must be proficient in English communication and laboratory equipment operation
• Exposed to bloodborne pathogens and potentially infectious materials
• Required to wear appropriate PPE including gloves, laboratory coat, facemask, and goggles
• May be required to work beyond standard shift hours based on workload and staffing needs
• Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and walking for entire shift with ability to move supplies up to 50 pounds
