PCU Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 89-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, earning $2,383.33 weekly. Your start date is July 13, 2026.

Your Role:

You will provide direct patient care to adults 18 and older in a progressive care setting. Your patients will present with a range of conditions including neurological and cardiac issues, trauma, respiratory conditions, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, cardiovascular step-down care, and post-operative recovery. You will manage patients on chronic ventilation who are unable to wean, working closely with respiratory therapy support.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2+ years in IMCU or PCU environments
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR systems
• Competency with specialty equipment: temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
• AHA BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification

Unit Details:

You will wear navy blue scrubs. Floating to other units is required. Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed, so flexibility is essential. You'll be part of a team supporting complex patient populations in a hospital setting.
