Operating Room RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Circulator for its cardiac operating room. You will work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekend and holiday coverage required. This is a 89-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Your Role

You will function independently as an RN circulator for complex adult cardiac cases. Your responsibilities include circulating for a range of procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, heart failure interventions (VADs, ECMO, artificial heart), and heart transplants. You will manage structural heart cases such as the Bentall procedure and assist with minimally invasive approaches, including mini aortic valve replacement. Charge responsibilities and on-call/callback duties will be required per unit needs.

Requirements

• Current New York RN license (New York state license required only)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
