SLP Job in Buffalo, MO

You will work as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a long-term care setting, providing assessment and treatment services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
• Develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting in clinical records
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services based on patient evaluation
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and service providers
• Communicate with your supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system
• Record treatment minutes accurately per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences and utilization review meetings
• Attend facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory requirements
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists
• Adhere to ASHA and State required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Position details: Monday through Friday schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts. No weekends unless a holiday falls within weekdays.

Requirements: You must hold a Missouri State License and CCC certification as an SLP. A minimum of 1 year of SLP experience is required; new graduates are accepted with Level II experience. Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience is required. Three years of experience holding active CCS is preferred.

Compensation and duration: Weekly pay is $2,448. This is a 91-day assignment beginning May 4, 2026, at Tide Health Group - Buffalo Prairie in Buffalo, MO.
