Med Surg RN Job in Wichita, KS

You'll work as an RN on a 34-bed medical surgical/surgical services unit at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, paying $1,971 per week.

Role and Responsibilities

• Care for patients with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Work with traction equipment and the Meditech EMR system
• Support patients recovering from total joint and spine surgeries
• Collaborate with a night shift team of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 PCTs
• Apply knowledge of spine, hip, and joint precautions
• Provide compassionate, team-focused care in a newly equipped unit with modern technology

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience in Med/Surg, Surgical, or Ortho settings
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with traction equipment preferred
