Cath Lab Technologist Job in Erie, PA

You will work as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. This is a 12-week travel assignment running Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will earn $3,266 per week for a total of 40 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform EP and Cath Lab procedures with independent judgment and technical expertise
• Execute imaging procedures with minimal supervision and demonstrate proper positioning techniques
• Practice radiation safety protocols, including use of lead shielding and monitoring devices
• Maintain aseptic technique and support patient safety through time-out processes
• Function in first assist position and administer contrast under physician direction
• Provide standby call coverage according to system-wide policies for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Maintain point of care testing standards and perform daily quality control
• Communicate clearly with patients and explain procedures to reduce anxiety
• Use proper patient identification protocols and universal procedures
• Ensure proper coding and tracking of images through PACS system

Required Qualifications:

• BLS certification
• ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology certification or equivalent
• Act 34 clearance
• ACLS preferred but not required

The facility provides scrubs through an on-site scrub machine. This assignment offers you the opportunity to work in a structured clinical environment where you will apply technical skills and patient care expertise across a range of cardiac interventional procedures.
