Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on medical surgical telemetry unit with overflow, post-surgical, and observation patients
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 during days and nights, 1:5-6 on weekends
• Unit transitioning to team nursing model with LPN support
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• No block scheduling accommodated (weekend block may be considered)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 42
• Handle medical oncology, gynecology surgery, and general med-surg cases
• 2 years of recent medical surgical experience required
• One year of travel experience required (first-timers not accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills needed: Telemetry monitoring and IV starts
• Must have Tennessee RN license or compact license compliant with NLC guidelines
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN acceptable (BSN not required for this position)
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• May float to like units or campuses within 20-mile radius
• Holiday work requirements: must work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment
