Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• CVOR Surgical Technologist position in a 13-room OR performing all surgical specialties except transplant
• Required to scrub for surgical cases
• Will float to General OR - candidate must be comfortable with floating to general cases
• On-call required every other weekend
• 40 orientation hours provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Special equipment includes 2 Xi DaVinci Robots
• Serves patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Key skills required include CVOR, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), TAVR, TEVAR, Endovascular Aortic Repair, laparoscopic assisted cases, robotic and cardiothoracic surgery, and a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurosurgery, general, OB/GYN, ENT, and vascular procedures
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization/disinfection, fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, and sharps safety required
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic equipment, drills, cell saver, and crash cart required
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and Social Services
