Job Details:

• Perform a variety of technical procedures utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment
• Accurately perform technical procedures utilizing ultrasonic machinery for the diagnosis of disease
• Position, transfer, and immobilize patients as necessary to perform diagnostic procedures
• Adjust machinery and ancillary equipment parameters in accordance with prescribed procedures to obtain diagnostic medical/legal ultrasound images
• Assist in equipment calibration to maintain department standards
• Understand and perform high level probe disinfection
• Schedule exams and maintain department records
• Assist in quality control programs for the maintenance of prescribed standards
• Work directly with patients, internal/external customers, and other healthcare professionals
• Available for emergency call back as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience in vascular and general ultrasound required
• Ability to perform basic ultrasound echo and/or peripheral vascular studies required
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner
• Completion of an accredited Technical Ultrasound Program required
• Required certifications and registries: ARDMS or ARRT (S), Vascular Registry, BLS
• Preferred equipment experience: G.E., Philips, and Siemens equipment
• Preferred EMR experience: Epic and McKesson EMR
