Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• 2 years of experience required with previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred<br>• Patient ratio of 1:5 (days, nights, and weekends)<br>• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)<br>• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit<br>• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks<br>• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed<br>• 12 hours of orientation required<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br>• Must float within all MSI units including ED to care for inpatient holds<br>• Required skills include cardiac monitoring, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management<br>• Experience needed with post-cardiac procedures, cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery care, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube management, hemodialysis, chest tubes, tracheostomy management<br>• Must be competent with heparin protocols, cardiac drips (titration and non-titration), PCA pumps, procedural sedation, wound care, and isolation precautions<br>• Epic charting system experience preferred<br>• Must have Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 31-bed unit with average daily census of 31<br>• Flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility is part of a major health system operating a comprehensive medical center with progressive care unit services.
