Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Work on a 32-bed general medical specialties/acute inpatient unit
• Night shift nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:6 (not guaranteed)
• Must be willing to accept up to 8 patients when needed
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Floating to other medical-surgical areas required
• Must provide current CEU documentation during interview process
• Experience required with multiple medications administration
• Safety is top priority
• Common diagnoses include respiratory conditions (COVID, pneumonia), renal issues (end stage renal disease, UTI), endocrine disorders (diabetes), gastrointestinal problems (GI bleed, pancreatitis), dementia, altered mental status, and infectious diseases (MRSA, C.diff)
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, bladder scanners, lifts, beds, oxygen, CPAP, and hepa machines
• Required skills: IV insertion, CPAP/BiPAP management, feeding tubes, wound vac
• Preferred skills: PICC/central line management, vascular device access/care, dialysis fistula care/management, epidural/PCA pumps
• Subject to downstaffing 36/48 hours in a 13-week contract based on weekly schedule
