About this role
Mary Washington Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Float between NICU, adult units, emergency department, and adult ICU stepdown units based on facility needs
- Manage airway management, medication administration, arterial blood gas draws, oxygen therapy, suction, and pulmonary toileting
- Administer and monitor BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments
- Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpretation
- Work as team lead when assigned
- Participate in monthly department meetings or review meeting minutes with acknowledgment
- Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
- Complete up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules within 1 week of assignment start
Requirements:
- Current BLS and VA Respiratory Therapist License
- CRTT certification required; ACLS within 90 days of start
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Adult critical care, emergency department, and community hospital experience required
- Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
- NRP and RRT certifications preferred
- Ability to work rotating schedules including potential mandatory on-call (approximately 2 shifts per month)
Compensation and Details:
You will earn $2,177.28 weekly. Assignment begins June 30, 2026. Please note this is not a NICU-only position; NICU assignments vary based on patient acuity and facility census. You will be required to wear wine-colored scrubs.
