ED RN Job in Hastings, NE

Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, NE is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 3, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,203.20.

Schedule & Logistics

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Possible shift times: 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, 12:00 PM–12:00 AM, or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• One winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) and one summer holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day) required
• No on-call, standby, or floating requirements
• Gray scrubs provided
• Three shifts of orientation with an experienced nurse

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage a variable nurse-to-patient ratio, with a maximum of 3–4 patients per nurse during peak periods
• Administer common drips including antibiotics, cardiac drips, Heparin, TPA, and insulin
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently using Philips monitors
• Perform 12-lead EKGs as needed
• Draw labs when initiating IVs in coordination with the phlebotomy team
• Transport patients on cardiac monitoring with the primary nurse or ACLS-certified staff
• Document in the EPIC charting system
• Treat pediatric patients, who comprise approximately 20% of patient volume

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current RN license
• Three or more years of emergency department experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Comfort treating pediatric patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC
