PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required — 6 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule
• Day shift patient ratio: 1:4; Night shift patient ratio: 1:5
• Must be flexible to float to another floor or alternate campus
• Must reside 150 miles or more from the facility
• 2 years of experience in service line required
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Altera charting system experience preferred, not required
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must have experience with post-surgical care, cardiac drips, and chest tubes
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, monitoring chemotherapy, PCA management, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram, post MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, and TR Band
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
