Oncology RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours worked.

In this role, you will care for patients in a Med-Surg Oncology unit with a patient population consisting mainly of surgical oncology and medical oncology patients, with a small population receiving chemotherapy treatments. Night shift patient ratios typically run 5:1 but can reach up to 7:1. You may float as needed to other areas within scope in 4-hour blocks and will float before staff RNs. No on-call or callback requirements.

Unit Support: Night shift always has techs on duty. CNAs are scheduled all shifts. You will work with Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps.

Requirements:

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS and Chemotherapy certification
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience with oncology experience required
• 1 year on a Med-Surg Oncology unit preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
• Epic experience preferred; if no Epic experience, previous electronic charting experience required

Additional Information: Any scrub color is permitted. Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Compensation: $2,529 per week. 91-day assignment beginning October 19, 2026.
