Registered Nurse - ICU @ IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• 13-16 week assignment available<br>• 1:2 patient ratio (1:1 for high acuity patients)<br>• 24 hours of orientation provided<br>• Floating required to progressive care unit<br>• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays<br>• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS<br>• Minimum 18 months of experience required<br>• 2 supervisor references required<br>• License must be in hand prior to start date<br>• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)<br>• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac drips, care of ventilated patients, and ventilator management<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and surgical cases<br>• Work in 18-bed open critical care unit with daily census of 14<br>• No ECMO, transplant, neurotrauma, or neurosurgery cases<br>• IABP and CVVHD equipment available but not required for travel contract<br>• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center featuring an 18-bed open critical care unit that provides advanced care for critically ill patients.
