PCU Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is a travel assignment lasting 89 days, starting August 31, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekly pay: $2,538
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Role Details

You will care for adult patients 18 years and older in a 64-bed unit that includes 15 designated Neuro beds. Floating to other units is required. You will wear Navy Blue scrubs.

Your patient population includes those with Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op diagnoses. You will work with specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo Vents. You will also care for chronic vent patients unable to wean, with respiratory therapy support available. EPIC EMR experience is required.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Travel healthcare experience required
• AHA BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
