About this role
Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking a CT Technologist for a day shift position. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, with a weekly pay of $3,024.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography and computed tomography procedures to obtain sectional anatomic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
- Corroborate patient clinical history with the procedure and ensure proper documentation and availability
- Prepare patients through clear instructions, gaining cooperation and minimizing anxiety
- Select and operate radiography and CT equipment with associated devices to achieve desired diagnostic results
- Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting patient ability and comfort
- Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examination
- Determine radiographic technique exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure to patients and others
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded
- Verify informed consent and assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures
- Practice aseptic techniques as necessary
- Prepare, identify, and administer contrast media and medications as prescribed by licensed practitioners in accordance with state statutes and institutional policy
- Initiate basic life support actions when necessary
- Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
- Operate CT equipment, select appropriate programs for desired protocols, and perform venipunctures
- Maintain archival storage of digitized data as appropriate
- Provide patient education and maintain knowledge of universal precautions
Requirements
- Allied Health Professional degree (Associate or Bachelor's) from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registered CT technologist certification
- OBMI certification
- Current BLS certification
- Skills check covering head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvic anatomy and safe contrast usage
- CRASE training preferred
