PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work with CABG, ICD, pacemaker, cardiac drips, and vascular surgical patients
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:6
• 24-bed unit with telemetry monitoring
• Required to float between Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran campuses
• Work every 4th weekend
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• 16-hour NBO (non-billable orientation)
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (36-40 hrs/week), after 48 hours (48 hrs/week)
• Navy blue solid scrubs required
• Must have 24 months minimum experience in Telemetry/Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care
• Experience required with ICD, pacemaker, CABG, and vascular surgical patients
• Cardiac rhythm experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with Alaris IV pump and wound vac required
• Cardiac drip/titration experience required
• Level II trauma experience required, Level I trauma experience highly preferred
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within previous 18 months
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Iowa nursing license required
• Work with cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, Dopamine
