Med Surg RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a travel nursing assignment in Medical / Surgical at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 8, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,286.36
• Full-time position with no on-call requirements
• Weekends may be required based on scheduling needs

Your Role

You will provide routine and complex care to post-surgical patients, including orthopedic, general surgery, and neuro populations. Your responsibilities include administering medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects, and documenting patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. You will assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education. You will address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, make appropriate assignments, and delegate to other care providers as needed. You will practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations, maintaining focus on long-range goals and plans.

Required Qualifications

• RN License in Louisiana or compact states
• BLS certification from AHA
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• EPIC experience is a bonus
