CVOR RN Job in Houston, TX

You'll work as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN at HCA Houston Medical Center, joining a 14-room OR complex that includes 2 dedicated CVORs and 12 general operating rooms. This is a 13-week travel position running through mid-March 2026.

Your Schedule

• 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift
• Day shift: 6:30 AM start with daily huddle at 6:45 AM, primary operations 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM with 6 rooms, extended coverage until 7:00 PM with reduced rooms
• On-call: self-schedule 1–2 shifts per week with 30-minute response time; weekday on-call 5:00 PM–7:00 AM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend 24-hour Saturday and Sunday coverage
• Weekly pay: $2,336

Clinical Responsibilities

• 1:1 patient ratio for all surgical cases
• CVOR and varied surgical specialty experience required: General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Robotics, colorectal, and vascular procedures
• Handle high-acuity robotics and gynecological cases
• Float to preoperative holding area as needed
• Work with Meditech ORM electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years OR circulating experience at an acute care hospital
• Current CVOR experience
• Current BLS certification
• CNOR certification preferred; 5+ years experience preferred
