ICU Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a 42-bed Intensive Care Unit at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is a travel assignment running for 89 days, beginning August 31, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $2,457.18
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed

Role Details

You will float to all units except Behavioral and Emergency Room (unless holding a patient). The ICU covers Neuro/Med, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma patients. Common diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, post-STEMI, cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, aortic aneurysm repair, trauma, and major post-operative cases.

Equipment and Skills

You will work with specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and Arctic Sun TTM systems. Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex is required.

Requirements

• Current active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience; 4–5 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EMR experience with EPIC required
• Skills checklist matching ICU specialty required
• Navy scrubs required
• Heart experience is highly preferred and prioritized by the manager
