EEG Technician Job in La Crosse, WI

Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center is seeking an EEG Technician to join our diagnostic team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You will prepare patients and perform electroencephalograms as ordered by physicians, working with patients across all age groups from infants through geriatric populations.

Position Details:

• 8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• 5 days per week with guaranteed 16–24 hours weekly (excluding orientation week and holidays when the unit is closed)
• 91-day assignment starting January 3, 2027
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine EEGs, sleep-deprived EEGs, daytime long-term monitoring, and consults for hospitalized patients
• Assist physicians with EEG procedures and provide patient education and support during testing
• Obtain thorough patient histories and maintain accurate documentation
• Demonstrate pattern recognition and knowledge of medical and pharmacological conditions affecting EEG results
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to generate accurate reports for physicians
• Archive patient testing materials and manage department records

Requirements:

• Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) certification and AHA BLS
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic program, or completion of Approved ABRET EEG Exam Practice Pathway Track or Associate Degree Track
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum 6+ months of experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic or Electrodiagnostic Technician
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information:

• Rotating on-call coverage required Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM every other weekend
• Weekend and holiday availability as needed due to on-call requirements
• No float requirements
• Any scrub color except those designated for specific work groups
• 8-hour unbillable orientation included
