PACU Registered Nurse Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 18, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 day shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week cycle
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Weekly pay: $2,260.08

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Care for cardiac catheterization lab recovery patients under general anesthesia and conscious sedation
• Charge nurse responsibilities included
• No floating required
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• Blue scrubs provided by hospital

Requirements

• 2 years of PACU experience
• ICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Complete pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• 2 days of floor-specific orientation provided
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Own vehicle required for travel

No block scheduling is permitted for this position. You will be an integral part of the PACU team, supporting patient recovery in a fast-paced perioperative environment.
