Endoscopy RN Job in Abilene, TX

Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,731.

Position Overview

You will work 5x8 hour shifts per week, plus call. Your role will require you to assist and circulate during a range of advanced gastrointestinal and respiratory procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist or circulate during advanced GI procedures including ERCP, PEG placement, EUS, Spyglass, and FNA/FNB
• Assist or circulate during Capsule Endoscopy, Bronchoscopies, and EBUS procedures
• Support patients across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Manage moderate sedation and pain management during procedures
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in endoscopy or related service line
• Advanced procedure experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Travel healthcare experience strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with moderate sedation and pain management
• Familiarity with Sunrise/Altera charting systems
