Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical Intensive Care Unit
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/device patients 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assigned 1:3-4
• Day and night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser post cardiac surgery, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Use Sunrise EMR system
• Perform or assist with procedures including pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
• Telemetry experience required; PCU level or greater preferred
• Experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred
• Prior ICU experience preferred
• Organized and adaptable personality a strong fit for this unit
• Float to Progressive Care unit as needed
• Every third weekend required, no on-call responsibilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have NH nursing license in hand prior to submission
