ED RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Emergency Department at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. This is a 91-day contract starting April 13, 2026.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Clinical Environment:

You will care for very high acuity patients in a fast-paced ED setting with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Patient populations include strokes, cardiovascular cases, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases. You will handle some trauma cases, though this is not a designated trauma unit. Security is available onsite 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provide patient and family education

Required Qualifications:

• RN License in Louisiana or active compact license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• CPI Blue Card

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

Onboarding Requirements:

You must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days and complete designated organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation.
