Endoscopy Technician

Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday on 8-hour staggering shifts between 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ERCP skills are required - hard stop requirement
• Perform endoscopy inpatient and outpatient procedures including Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, Flex Sig, and EUS
• Perform bedside endoscopy cleaning and scope reprocessing
• Order supplies and prepare scope repairs for send out
• Perform out of department procedures in CCU
• Techs are required to take call approximately 1-2 weekends per month and 1-2 weekdays per month
• Weekday call begins at end of shift and runs until 7:00 AM the following morning
• Weekend call begins at end of shift and runs 24 hours until Monday morning at 7:00 AM
• Operate Olympus GI equipment and OER Pro reprocessors
• Serve patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 15-20 cases across 3 rooms
• Float coverage between surgery center and endoscopy suite may be required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Cerner charting system experience; EPIC preferred
• Required skills include: Bronchoscopes, Colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, Enteroscopes, ERCP, ERCP Scopes, Flex Sigmoidoscopes, High-Level Disinfection, infection control, and aseptic technique
