PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour shifts with day and night shift availability
• Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a six-week period
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Work in both IMC and ICU units with float requirements to Med Surg and Emergency Department as needed
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to consideration
• ICU experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and GI/GU diagnoses
• Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, and wound care
• Special equipment includes ventilator/trach, IV non-titratable drips, HFNC, dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
