Emergency Department RN Job in Altoona, PA

You will work as an RN in the Emergency Department at UPMC Altoona, a 200-bed acute care facility in central Pennsylvania. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing, monitoring, and treating patients presenting with various emergency medical conditions
• Establishing IV lines, administering medications, and performing emergency interventions as directed by the physician team
• Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records in compliance with hospital policy
• Collaborating with physicians, technicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver coordinated emergency care
• Following emergency protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Triaging patients and prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical need

Schedule and Compensation

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week. Weekly pay is $2,300.40.

Requirements

You must hold an active RN license in Pennsylvania and maintain current certifications as required by the facility, which may include ACLS, PALS, or BLS depending on the department's standards.
