CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of June 15, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly pay: $3,124
• On-call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week (30-minute response time required)
• Work every 3rd–4th weekend and holiday rotation

Role Responsibilities

• Assigned to 4–5 of 21 operating rooms per day covering multiple specialties
• Provide OR/CVOR circulating support with strong technical skills
• Assist anesthesiologist with arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and Swan Ganz catheters
• Support intubations, fiber optic scopes, and sterile techniques with central lines
• Perform IV starts, draw labs, and set up medication pumps
• Operate Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level 1 equipment
• Assist with heart surgeries, trauma cases, elective surgeries, and general surgeries

Required Qualifications

• RN with Associate degree or certificate in nursing
• 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience
• Experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment
• Epic charting system experience
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications
• Wisconsin RN License or compact license
• Vehicle required (30-minute response time to OR)
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Conscious sedation experience preferred
