Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-6
• Weekend requirements: Generally every 3rd weekend but may be more based on need
• Holiday requirements: Every 3rd holiday, expect to work one winter holiday
• No call or standby requirements
• May float to PCU taking med-surg overflow or low acuity PCU patients
• May work charge nurse duties if experienced
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Dress code: Any solid color scrubs, no patterns or designs
• Two days nursing department orientation plus one day on the floor
• Epic charting system
• Preferred experience with chest tubes, pain management, TPN, CBI, and wound care
• Common patient diagnoses include dementia, post-surgical, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, and cancer patients
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP
• Support from 2-3 nurse aids per unit and telemetry monitoring with monitor techs
