Endoscopy Technician Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a 117-day travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. You will work 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with day shifts and night call responsibilities.

About the Role

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will support clinical teams by preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and equipment sterilization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Apply aseptic technique principles to equipment preparation, maintenance, and procedure assistance
• Identify potential compromises to sterile and High Level Disinfectant integrity throughout procedures
• Disassemble equipment, identify defective or malfunctioning parts, and perform preventive maintenance on procedure supplies and equipment
• Perform pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for all endoscopes, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high level disinfecting, and identifying needed repairs
• Follow established protocols for reprocessing endoscopes and accessories and for storing equipment
• Determine appropriate High Level Disinfection methods based on material and manufacturer instructions
• Check and calibrate equipment according to equipment protocol
• Perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients

Qualifications

You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician and at least 1 completed travel assignment. High Level Disinfection (HLD) certification is highly desired.
