Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
• Support cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing the lab and operating essential equipment
• Operate fluoro imaging and digital image acquisition equipment
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and hemodynamic measurements
• Maintain stringent aseptic technique and patient safety standards 100% of the time
• Perform daily room checks and stocking of supplies
• Enter patient information into cath lab computer and imaging systems
• Ensure proper procedure documentation, hemodynamic measurements/recording, and ECG recognition
• Operate cath lab equipment including imaging (X-Ray, intravascular ultrasound-IVUS, intracardiac echo-ICE), contrast injector, hemodynamic system, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and left ventricular assist device
• Act as radiation safety representative for patients and team while X-Ray is in use
• Collaborate with procedure team and Cath Lab Lead/Coordinator to ensure appropriate patient care and departmental efficiency
• Support patient transport as appropriate
• Maintain proficiency in access site management
• Adhere to organizational dress code policy
• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, or acceptable equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• One of the following certifications preferred: RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; Radiography (R), Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT; Abdomen (AB) RDMS, OB/GYN RDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS, or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS
• New Mexico state licensure: RRT or FUS by MIRTP NMED required
