PCU RN Job in Denver, CO

Join HCA HealthONE Swedish as an RN in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), a 20-bed Multi Trauma Unit serving as a Level 1 trauma center. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts weekly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, managing a patient ratio of 1:4 in a highly acute care environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to trauma and critically ill patients on a specialized 20-bed unit
• Manage patients on ventilators, with chest tubes, tracheostomies, and complex wound care
• Perform or assist with procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
• Operate specialized equipment: ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction systems
• Collaborate with a team of 1 charge nurse (free of patient assignments), 5 nurses, and 2 techs per shift
• Document and communicate using the Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PCU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH certification preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay is $2,233.80. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026. You'll be part of a collaborative team in a dynamic trauma setting where clinical expertise and adaptability are valued.
